Starmobile Introduces Smartphone with Digital TV

Starmobile Knight Vision

Local mobile phone brand Starmobile recently introduced its newest smartphone offering, the Starmobile Knight Vision. The best thing about this Android-powered quad core phablet is that it is the first local smartphone in the Philippines that is capable of receiving digital TV broadcasts. But this is not the first time that Starmobile launched a digital TV capable gadget.

In 2013, before the Philippine government officially adopted the Japanese-based ISDB-T for the country's transition to digital terrestrial television, Starmobile went ahead of the industry and surprised the local tech industry with the release of the Starmobile Engage 7 TV, the first mobile device in the Philippines that enables users to watch their favorite TV shows in analog or digital broadcast format.

In February 2015, ABS-CBN launched the first digital terrestrial television service in the country, the ABS-CBN TV Plus, that is capable of receiving digital TV broadcasts without any distortions providing cable-like reception on any television set. The same goes with the Starmobile Knight Vision, however you cannot get to have exclusive channels on the TV Plus available on the smartphone. The smartphone's capabilities is well complied with National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) standards.

Another good thing about the Knight Vision is its optically stabilized 13 megapixel rear camera, providing a clearer and more balanced look while taking pictures.

The Starmobile Knight Vision is now available in Starmobile concept stores, kiosks, and authorized dealers and retailers nationwide for only P9,990. If you already bought this smartphone, then you should share your own experience with us.
