The PLDT Group and Globe Telecom are now disputing the number one spot in the competitive mobile phone industry in the Philippines.
Globe president Ernest Cu said in its annual stockholders' meeting that the company is now emerged as the number one mobile phone brand in the country. PLDT spokesperson Ramon Isberto, however, dispute Globe's allegation and claimed that Smart Communications remains the undisputed number one mobile service provider in the country based on subscriber base and revenues. But I think that Globe has more advantages than Smart when it comes to mobile data as it finally found a niche to become a driving force in providing innovative solutions that would cater to the digital lifestyle of Filipino mobile subscribers.
Well, it is an evident fact that Smart has the largest number of mobile subcribers in the country, but what makes Globe better than Smart and even Sun combined is that it took advantage of banking on the growing and evolving demands of Filipino consumers. And this is because of its continuous collaboration with some of the finest in the online scene that created a suite of offers that revolutionized the digital lifestyle experience of many mobile-centric Filipinos. And that is what makes Globe a better competitor in the mobile phone wars than Smart overall.
